The game began in the worst possible way for Gresford Athletic, as Craig Lindfield's first-time finish fired the ball into the bottom corner of the net just five minutes in to put Colwyn Bay in front.

Then, in the seventh minute, Gwion Daffydd doubled the lead for The Seagulls, using his pace to get past the Gresford Athletic defence and slot it home.

It was then made 3-0 to The Bay in the 31st minute of the game, as Jamie Cumming tapped in a rebounded effort from Craig Lindfield following a good save from Lewis Dutton.

Ilan ap Gareth gave The Colliers their first effort of the game in the 33rd minute, hitting the ball first time on the edge of the box, but it looped over the crossbar.

The half time whistle blew and Gresford Athletic had plenty of work to do in the second half if they wanted to get anything from the game after a very dissappointing first half.

Lewis Dutton was called upon early in the second half, making a double save in the 51st minute and then again in the 59th minute to deny a flurry of Colwyn Bay opportunities.

However, in the 67th minute, The Seagulls found their fourth goal, with Craig Lindfield finding his second goal of the game with a brilliant strike from outside of the box.

It wasn't long before the Colwyn Bay striker completed his hat-trick, with his 74th-minute effort adding a fifth to the scoreline as it looped into the net.

Then, in the 77th minute, Adam Hesp was called upon to clean up at the back, clearing the ball off the line to deny a sixth goal for The Bay.

There was a fantastic moment in the 79th minute of the game, as Gresford Athletic Under 17s players Sam Bryan and Alex Cooper came onto the pitch to make their First Team debuts.

However, to finish the game, Dan Atkins added goal number six for Colwyn Bay, cementing a tough afternoon for The Colliers in the 91st minute.

The game ended shortly after and Gresford Athletic are forced to put this difficult moment behind them and move onto the next result.
