However, in the 23rd minute, Gresford Athletic sprung into action and Dave Forbes managed to head the ball into the net, but referee James Walker ruled it out for offside.

The second half began with The Alex putting the pressure onto Gresford Athletic again, with Josh Watkin making an great goalline clearance to deny a dangerous effort.

In the 52nd minute though, a free-kick was conceded on the edge of the area and Emmanuel Lawal swung the ball into the top corner of the net to equalise for Mold Alexandra.

Toby Gallagher-Keenan almost regained the advantage for Gresford Athletic in the 56th minute, but Joe Smith made an excellent point blank save.

Then, in the 62nd minute, Craig Rogers fired another free-kick into the net to put The Alex in front and complete a comeback.

Adam Hesp was called upon in the 79th minute to make a superb last-ditch tackle to deny what was looking to be a certain Mold Alexandra goal, but The Alex continued to pile on the pressure and hit the inside of the post in the 81st minute through Owen Cordiner.

Joe Nelson tried his luck from far out in the 82nd minute and 89th minute, testing Mold Alexandra's Joe Smith both times, but he was unable to find an equaliser.

However, in the 91st minute, Charlie Mann fired the ball into the box from a corner and Dave Forbes was there to force the ball into the net to claim a last minute equaliser.

The full time whistle blew and Gresford Athletic can be relieved at the last-minute equaliser to secure a point at home to go towards their climb up the table.
