Gresford Athletic played their fifth friendly game of the 2020/21 season on Saturday at Holyhead Road against Chirk AAA.

Again, due to COVID-19 restrictions, the game was played behind closed doors with limited squads and coaching staff. This remains the case for our future games until it is safe for fans to return to stadiums.

The game finished with Gresford Athletic winning 2-1, with Owen Roberts and Dave McIntyre scoring.

Gresford Athletic are looking forward to starting the 2020/21 season after elite status was granted for JD Cymru North and JD Cymru South clubs by Sport Wales, with Chirk AAA hoping for a start to the newly-formed Lock Stock Ardal NW soon.
